Our Story

When singer Gia Piro and I formed Spoiled Rotten in the summer of 1998, our goal was to not only put together a great sounding band, but to also capture that true sense of comradery with our musicians.  Our core band consists of 6 pieces. Who you see is EXACTLY who you get...No Surprises. If you are looking for a larger ensemble, we can certainly accommodate. Additional musicians such as horns, vocalists, percussion and even DJ's are all available upon request.

Spoiled Rotten performs at private events, weddings, clubs, casinos, and corporate affairs throughout the Tri-State area (and beyond). Over the years we have had the pleasure of performing for (or sharing the stage with) such notable people as Stevie Wonder, Leonardo DiCaprio, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Angelina Jolie, Andrea Bocelli, and Michael Douglas.

Check our schedule for upcoming show dates, then grab your friends and your fiancée, and come see us do what we do.
Looking forward to meeting you.

Gia Piro - Vocals

Born and raised in Brooklyn, Gia Piro has been performing for live audiences since the age of 6 and professionally since she was 14. Gia grew up in a musical family. Her father, Jimmy Piro, was a talented vocalist, bass player, and recording artist. Her Godfather, Teddy Randazzo, was a prolific songwriter who wrote chart topping hits in the 1960's for well known artists including Frank Sinatra.  Gia has worked and recorded with freestyle artists George Lamond and Freedom Williams of C&C Music Factory. Other career highlights include opening for Debra Gibson on The Intrepid in NYC and multiple performances at the NAMM show in Anaheim, alongside Liberty Devitto (Billy Joel), Peter Stroud (Tom Petty and Cheryl Crow), and Mark Ford (The Black Crows).  Feeling more at home on stage then anywhere else in this world, she feels blessed to make music with her closest friends and musical family, Spoiled Rotten.  Besides being a versatile and gifted vocalist, Gia has the ability to capture an audience and put a smile on the face of everyone she meets.

Matt Calabrese - Drums/Vocals

Matt Calabrese majored in Music Education at William Patterson University in Wayne, NJ in 1992. Starting out on the local country scene, he performed at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, TN after winning the NJ Seagram’s 7 Battle of the Bands. His most notable early work was with After Alice, where they were the opening act for Melissa Etheridge. They also performed on Ed McMahons’ TV show ‘Star Search’ in 1995. Ever since, he’s been playing, teaching, touring as much as possible.  He’s also had the opportunity to tour the US with Singer/Song writer ‘John Eddie’. Currently he’s focused mainly on his favorite project yet. His second family, his band of brothers (and one awesome sister) with Spoiled Rotten... A ‘dance extravaganza’! A group of the most talented musicians and beautiful people. Spoiled Rotten has been the happiest and most fulfilling part of his career.
